Amber Flush out and about
Amber Flush has been busy trying to obtain her flat rating after her 50/1 2nd in a conditions stakes at Pontfract last season. This is easier said than done for an older staying horse as maiden races only run up to 1m4f. This left us with the options of listed and group races and we started out on a horrible day at Nottingham in heavy ground over 1m6f despite this she picked off a couple but was left with a stewards note meaning that run was discounted. We then headed out to Ascot and Sandown running against some of the best stayers in the country to eventually obtain a mark of 77. We can now enter her in handicaps of her own class and look foward to seeing how she gets on. In the meantime she has had a couple of runs over hurdles for variety including a good 2nd at Fontwell in June. She likes fast ground and hasn't had it so far, we pray the sun starts shining for her now
